| How
It Works: |
If
your pet has a medical emergency that requires a veterinarian's
attention after regular office hours, call the Gulf Coast Veterinary
Emergency Hospital at 228-392-7474 and explain your problem. A veterinarian
and staff will be there during Hospital Hours. Your
phone call will alert them to your pet's condition so that they
may prepare in advance for your arrival. They will be seeing your
pet in a facility especially designed for emergency and critical
care. Please save any routine questions about vaccinations, elective
surgery and other non-emergency matters for your regular veterinarian
the next day. Phoning the Emergency Hospital with such questions
will keep staff from efficiently treating presenting emergencies.

| Cost
Of Services And Payment: |
There
is an emergency visit charge in addition to any lab tests, x-rays,
medicines, treatments, and surgical procedures. Fees are payable
before you leave the clinic and, at times, before extensive surgery
or treatment is rendered. The Veterinary Emergency Hospital accepts
cash, Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, and personal
checks with adequate identification. We are proud to announce we
now are offering Care Credit
to help with those unexpected emergencies. Please do not
ask for any other type of credit, no exceptions. The Gulf
Coast Veterinary Hospital is separate from your veterinarians practice,
so it is not possible for your veterinarian to bill you for services
rendered at the Emergency Hospital. Your cooperation will be expected.
|
| After
Discharge: |
If
your pet is treated on an outpatient basis, you will possibly be
refereed to your regular veterinarian the following morning for
continuing care. If you do not have a regular veterinarian, we will
be glad to provide a list of practitioners that are convenient to
you.
We will ne in contact
with your veterinarian to provide them with all necessary information
for the follow up care for your pet. We close promptly at
8:00 am. All hospitalized animals must be transported either home,
or if they need continued care, to your regular veterinarian prior
to that time.
